I have been hoodwinked by the university of phoenix online. I signed up for classes using student aid the FAFSA. The classes started i had furnished all information needed for financial aid, then i was asked my irs filing status, at the time i was separated and in the process of getting a divorce i filed head of household for 3 plus years, the uop wanted information from the irs, the irs told me that the information that they were requesting was an obsolete irs form. The IRS told me that my filing status was perfectly legal. The university of phoenix said that fafsa was requesting this information, but when i talked to fafsa they explained to me that they were not requesting any information. After going round and round with these thieves i told them i would not take another class until the financial aid was resolved, it never was resolved seeing how they were requesting information that i could not provide, i was set up to fail with no recourse.
So now i have $1770. On my credit report and i will never pay these scumbags. Actually i believe a class action lawsuit is in order.
