I recently received a telephone call from a company called JBC & Associates, Inc. They told me that NCO Financial had turned me over to them for a bad check to Office Depot in 1999. I had paid the check in full to Office Depot in 1999. Three years later NCO contacted me and stated that Office Depot had turned my check over to them for collection. I was never sent a statement about this check and when I asked for a statement they sent one with the wrong information on it.
My ss# and DL# were incorrect. Since then I was contacted from a company called JBC & Associates and was told that NCO had sent me to them for collection of a bad check. I then asked JBC about sending me a statement showing that I owed this. They said that they had already sent one out and asked me for my account number which I told them several times that I had no account number and the phone call from them was the first I had heard of them.
After reading your usacomplaints.com I realize that I am not alone in this. How do these companies keep in business. I guess they figured I would not check into it and would just bow down and send them money. I did contact Office Depot and they informed me that I did not owe any money to them.
