You often hear how large companies and corporations often try to grease the wheels of the politicians in power but Office Depot's latest move in this area is just plain despicable! On their web site there is a link to a new site they own called www.wedecide2004.com Check out the site, you will see Office Depot's logo displayed for all to see on the top of the page, so Office Depot can not claim that this is not their site.
So what's wrong with that? What's wrong is that this site only promotes certain candidates! It leads you to believe that in some cases there is only one candidate in the race when there are two, or they only list two when there are 3 or 4. I am one of those candidates and I am customer of Office Depot - well... I WAS a customer, but after this, I'm not any more. Office Depot has done nothing to fix this and it seems they are intent on using their corporate owned web site to promote only certain candidates.
Maybe the FEC should look into seeing how they are spending corporate money to promote these candidates? Hey Office Depot, I might even be the one that calls the FEC to report you, you had a chance to fix this and yet you are refusing to. All I want to know is why?
