On 01-20 I noticed a charge to my checking account for the amount of $134.95. I called the toll free number shown on my bank statement for 24 Protect Plus. When I called I asked what kind of company this was.
I was told what kind of company this was. Right away I told the lady I spoke to that I had not subscribed to this service. Well, this lady tells me that this is a service offered to AOL members and that it's offered through POP UPS while you're online.
So I asked the lady for a refund and I hanged up. Later on that day I called again to see when I was going to get my money and to try and get more info but the woman hunged up on me. This caused me alot of stress. I had to cancel my visa check card and made several calls to AOL and 24 Protect Plus. SOMEONE HAS TO DO SOMETHING BEFORE THIS HAPPENS TO SOMEONE ELSE!
On 01-22-04 I finally got my refund after 2 days of stress. But I was left with late fees totaling $88.00 for insufficient funds.
