I received an e-mail stating I had an active membership with HomeWorks Plus and that as a reminder I would be billed $134.95 if I did not call or e-mail the company with my cancellation by 12/04/03. This was the first I'd heard of Homeworks Plus.
My attempts to contact the Co. Proved futile as as the telephone numbers I called played a recording stating that the company was upgrading the system. The website required a password to gain entry.
After reading the other consumer complaints which popped up on the Homeworks plus website I cancelled my credit cards and finally got live help from AOl. AOl said that I created the problem by giving Homeworks Plus my credit card info. Not true. I'm cancelling AOL. They did give me todays current number for Homeworks Plus: 1-888-256-9206. I got through almost immediately. Kyon at Homeworks Plus said they got my name, address, telephone #, credit card #
from AOL. He also said I would have had to click on their banner three times to become a member. Sounds fishy to me.in summary I'm sending this report so that other victims of this company have a current phone # for this CO.
