I've been a paramedic for over 15 years and it doesn't pay well.
Especially of you work the the City. It's a non-for-profit paycheck.
I was looking for new skills, a new trade. I already had some computer skills just no certifications. And I chose IT. So I chose them because they were the closest. I never looked at there complaints. Everything they said sounded pretty good and I signed up. It all computer video based training. They don't have any skilled teachers or instructors. All the way through the training I had many questions and I would get a sales pitch answer. I would ask them to show me how to do that and they couldn't. Now mind you they are "technical instructors" and it's there equipement. I would have some of the friends in the IT field to show me then. I would learn quickly from my friends. I was looking pretty good as a technical person in class after a while. The students would no longer ask the "technical instructors" and ask me and I was very successfull at it. The "technical instructors" asked me to go in the office with them and asked me to stop answering the student's question and to direct the student to the instructor. Even when I did that another student would ask me and I would direct them to the "technical instructors" I would be called to the office. I was once even threatened to be removed from the class if I didn't.
This has been my experience. I later googled with the keywords techskills and complaint and found that Techskills have many complaints. If I would have seen that I would have never went to Techskills.
