I'm concerned.
Recieved soliciation call from person claiming to represent academicfinders.com to my DoNoCall. Gov listed (and long term active) landline phone. They asked for me by name and I am listed. Caller claimed I had filled out online survey or request for info (false, I did not). Caller could not reference when or at what web address I filled out the purported lead. I have never had business with them.
Caller I.D. Displayed private name and semi-local phone number which suggests caller I.D. Spoofing. A call to that number revealed they know nothing about or who Academicfinders.com are. Owner of displayed number did not report any other calls regarding company which suggest they are using random CIDs... Possibly to thwart accumulated database attention to their deceptive marketing practices.
Whois search reveals they have set their domain ownership to private, thus no access to business location or responsible party. No BBB listing.internet search yields saturation of promotional postings making potential blog or other reference information difficult to find or discern. Concerned they might be front for fraudulant marketing service, phone phishing, or possibly running a scam selling work at home packages, employment fraud, or other nefarious activities. Chose not to contact directly for fear of getting put on sucker or retribution list as their internet and phone presense seems robust and difficult to trace.

If no traceable response (name, business address, etc.), I hope that somebody with authority and access can pull back their privacy veil and see what's really going on and who is responsible.
