Great place to attend for the first 3 months.
I was sucked into all there crap on their website talking about what amazing school they are.
I started in September, and was told we would be moving to larger facility before I started the school. October came, they told us we were moving, Christmas break came still no move. Finally in January we were told not to come Monday, and Tuesday because we were finally going to be moving facilities. So i get a call on the Tuesday (supposedly no school that day) from a friend at the school, supposedly a call was made to everyone that we were not going to be moving, well I and several other were not called.
I spoke to instructer in charge, I was basically told at that point that he was the one who personally made the calls so I must be full of shit... Whatever. Finally within a week we moved... To a half assed finished facility, where I got to spend my days listening to hammers and saws buzzing all of class.
Furthermore, I would also like to add a few things. The program runs for 9 months, then you get your certificate. The first 3 months, Awesome, I learned alot and had alot of fun. Everything after that is just a total repeat, It gets to the point that just showing up for the day becomes painful.
Most of the instructors their are pretty cool dudes... But one. Frank, this guy is so far up his own a$s it's is unbelievable. You can't get one sentence out without this prick putting his own two sense in. I think the school knows he's a weak link, because you rarely have classes with him. When he does teach, you spend the day learning about his opinions on things, and when you finally learn something new, you come too class the next day just to have an instructor who isn't a retard tell you to do things a totally different way. It got to the poing that I would look at the schedule to see when Frank was teaching, so I could make a point of missing that day.
Now here is my biggest issue with this school and the whole reason I am writing this report. This school is all about the money. The president Sal, and all the other pricks who sit on the board, have nothing what so ever to do with the industry. They are all about how much money they can stuff in their pockets, who their making money off of and who is holding them back from stuffing their pockets, aka... ME.
This school charges $20,000 for a nine month program, which is totally fine, but if I cough up that kind of money then if I want to miss a day, i'm going to dam well miss a day. But they're big on attendance, because they get paid based on attendance. Keep in mind I am a straight A student, good friends with all instructors, minus Frank, but he's a total narcisistic douche anyways, and I am always engaged in class and challenging myslef.
I found my self in some troubling times, and to make a long story short I eneded up checking my self into rehab early March for two weeks. I arose sober and stronger then ever, only to return to school and be kicked to the curb. See as I was gone, the big boys weren't making the money off of me so I was deemed as un-profitable and sent packing. Keep in mind, they had already taken my $20,000, which not one dime will be returned to me, so hey they have their money from me already, and if they cannot continue to profit from me then HEY, F@$# teaching and moral values and all that lets take this 19 year old kid when he obviously at the most fragile state in his life and kick his ass to the curb.
As I said before, The school was great for the first 3 months, and I think that if the mangement side of things had a complete overhaul then things would be great.
So if your thinking at all of attending this school I would deffinetly look at alteratives, most community colleges have great audio engineering programs as well as some other vocational schools. To those of you from pinnacle college reading this, you know exactly who this is, and I have one thing to say to Everyone their besides a select few instructors... F*k you
