I received a few blank checks from FCNB. I called their customer service and ask how much I could write the check out for. I wrote the check out for $1300.00 then deposited the check in my checking account. A few days later my bank Fulton sent me back the check with account closed on it which caused me to have 2 checks bounce and service fees. I wrote FCNB a short note on my bill that, I was going to deduct part of all the fees from this payment they never called me or wrote me and the next bill that I received had late fees and the APR was increased from 22.60 to 27.60!
Then I made a payment by phone on time and my next statement the APR went from 27.60 to 30.22 %. This is very unfair business practice and many people on the net our having the same thing happening to them! It is impossible to call customer service you are told to write them. I did write a note which they completely ignored telling them about their checks and explaining the impact it had on me with bank charges!
