First Consumers National Bank
Ripoff

March 1st i recieved two blank checks from fcnb to use as i wanted. I wrote them to walmart on March 11th. Walmart called me and told me they were returned for closed account. I called fcnb and they said they could no longer honor the checks (which had valid till March 31 stamped on them) all they could do was say they were sorry.

Now i have 2 bad checks at walmart one for 150.00 and 496.00. I am on disability and the 150.00 i could come up with the 496.00 is going to be almost impossible. Walmart will not take partial payments either so i have to come up with the full amount. I wasnt notified until March 22 that my account had been closed. It wasnt due to my payment history, they wrote for business reasons. I had a newport news charge card through this bank for years, always in good standing.

I feel if they werent going to honor the checks they shouldnt of sent them out to millions of people. I am left in a situation i didnt ask for. Walmart will take legal actions if the checks are not paid. I feel this is very poor business practice and also false advertising on fcnb s account.

I feel legal action should be taken against this bank for defermation of character and all the imbarrasement i have been put through. Not to mention the stress this has put on my already disabling condition. I will never do business with this bank again. Be leary if you get blank checks in the mail because if the company doesnt want to honor them they dont have to and it leaves you responsible to pay them back.
