I have basically been satisfied with almost all the merchandise I received from Bidz.com.
Fist I was the winner of 3 different items that were being auctioned. I never received comfirmation of the bids, so never paid nor received the merchandise.
On April 29 I one 2 bids for rings. One was a topaz valued at 330.00 the winning bid was $1.00. The 2nd ring was a garnet valued at $660.00. The winning bid was $5.00.
I paid for the merchandise with a credit card. The following day I received a email from Bidz stating they were unable to locate the merchandise in their inventory and a credit would be issued to me. I wrote numerous letters.
One response was "I have nothing to say but, your double listing will remain a double listing"
The following week I saw the exact same ring being auctioned. I emailed again. The response was "your credit is in the process of being issued" I then called the company and left a message and got no reply. I then filed a complaint with the better business bureau.
I tried to sign onto Bidz and got a message that my account was deactivated. I wrote 2 more emails. One asking why and the other asking how to pay for one outstanding bid of 3.00. The response was "you can not log on because your account has been deactivated.
When I signed up the contract states that if I bid and win it is a legal contract. Why doesn't this apply to bidz? It appears that if anyone questions their actions, rather than try to resolve it they just deactivate your account.
I am watching for that credit to appear on my credit card statement, if it doesn't then I will contact visa. 12.00 (including postage) doesn't seem like alot of money, but they need to be held responsible and live up to their end of the contract. They should be trying to help resolve the matter.
