In September of last year I heard a Loral Langemeier commercial on the radio. It promised to ship me some information to look over for $9.95 and if I wasn't interested aft that, then no harm done. I understood that all I was paying for was shipping of the product. The commercial stated several times, "ABSOLUTELY NO OBLIGATION".
About a month after I received the box, I still hadn't opened it (still haven't) I received a call from someone who wanted to counsel me. At the time I was working 14 hour days at a pretty back-breaking job so I really had no time to spend on the phone with this guy. I had to get to sleep and get back up at 4 am.
Another month goes by and I get a call from Loral Langemeier that I owe her some un-Godly amount of money... Close to a thousand dollars! I am in shock - but not AS MUCH AS SHE WAS WHEN SHE TRIED TO RUN MY DEFUNCT DEBIT CARD.
I explained that I responded to athe radio commercial and that there was not supposed to be any further obligation if I wasn't interested.
I was told that that was for the $6.95 package and because I had received the $9.95 package, I owed them $958.00. The $6.95 package did not have to be returned but the $9.95 package did.
The person I spoke to even played back a tape where the girl who took my order was heard saying, "The package must be returned within 30 days if you are not interested in the program". I have no doubt that she said those words... But I am 100% positive that she never said them to me.
I don't pull my debit card out lightly for anything. I am positive that what they told me was deliberately deceptive.
I guess they have now placed this against my credit rating which means that instead of being at 550, I am probably down to 525. Lol
They lied and attempted to deceive me in order to rip off my credit card once they had my number.
The last time I spoke to anyone there I told them to KISS MY GRITS and never call me again!
If I become a millionaire tomorrow, I will NEVER give that greedy biotch, Loral Langemeier a single dime!
