So I mistakenly attended an NYU film program in Singapore this fall. After a week and a half I decided the school wasn't for me. Three months went by and NYU kept me completely in the dark and suddenly slaps me with a $18,000 bill. For a week and a half of school. Tthat's one class of each subject, people! I guess their "policy" states that only 70% of the tuition gets paid back at the start of the second week (something they only tell you after the fact).
I would have withdrawn sooner but I was in a foreign country. Can they do this? Is this really legal?!?
