DC Worldwide Management, Inc
Acenture Creations ripoff

Please read this before you continue with scentura creations perfume!!!
It's a scam!

There are several locations set up all over the United States
DC Worldwide Management located at 5921 Emily Road in Levittown PA promises every person who is hired that they are being hired as managers of their own office, and that they will make a minimum $30,000 a year, with an average of $40,000.

I have seen many of [multi level marketing schemes], but this is the first time my daughter got a task of fraud she was flat-out lied to. Not simply "mislead, " but lied to. My daughter was promised a management position in charge of 7 to 10 employees with
the (vague) job description of general office management... This is, of course, a complete untruth. Nothing you have heard so far has been true, and only a person with no moral scruples could even say it is "technically" true.

I assume by now that you have been told that this is a 'perfume Distribution Company'. Distribution in this case means 'walking the streets trying to sell perfume for pennies a day'. Do not continue with scentura. Tell everyone in your 'class' who will listen the truth - Scentura is a losing battle that will leave you broke!

The 'Management' title you have is nothing but a name - you are not 'managing' anyone. The way the office is making money right now is by having you drop bottles for 29.00 in FFAR (Friends, Family & Relatives). The office keeps 19, you take 10.00. This will never happen again. On the street, you will have to push the bottles for 11.00 to 19.00 to make your quota, and will have NO CASH. The office makes it's money on 'Friends and Family' - meaning yours.

This goes beyond the usual intoxicating language that is usually used for these businesses. This should be illegal. From (Scam Information, Scam of the month, covering "Scentura", a company almost identical to DC Worldwide Management)

Everything you have heard thus far is scripted. The phone interview, the first meeting, and the second 'group' interview. Scam tactics such as 'fear of loss' are taught, and used on you to not only hook you in, but to get you excited about being broke for the entire time you are with this office.

A job with DC Management is a 100% commission job, after training (from 6 weeks to 13 weeks) they say you can "choose your own office and DC Worldwide Management will pay your first months rent and overhead." After the first month, you are responsible for all costs, your office, the utilities, advertising, etc. You must also pay the cost of all of your benefits, including health insurance.in the group interview, DC Worldwide Management will tell you that the job includes health insurance, but in reality, you find out later, you must pay 100% of this health insurance after the first month.

I estimate, based upon conversations with distributors and our own training, that the retention rate of DC Worldwide Management is around 15 to 1.in other worlds of every 15 people hired, only one will not quit. This estimate is probably conservative and low.

On the first day of training, DC Worldwide Management uses these new employees to peddle their perfumes and colognes to family and friends, promising $7 a bottle. They describe this contest as a "fun contest", to help you through training, but there is pressure to make sales. If this sounds like Avon or Amway, peddling products to your family and friends, and getting a percentage of the sales, that's because it is exactly the same.

From a former employee: "They charge $27 per bottle. If they have at least 20 people sell 50 bottles every month they would make a net profit of $13,500. Even after the trainees take there cut the company makes a little over $11,000. That is a lot of money to be making a month and if you quit they can hire 20 more people and make more money."

The crux of the scam is so vital to the business that they even have an acronym for it: FFAR. It stands for Friends, Family and Relatives, and that's who you're supposed to "practice" selling on. This is the cornerstone of most "direct marketing" pyramid scams. The newbie salesman must first practice the pitch to his or her parents and grandparents, and since many of them tend to be teenagers or early 20-year-olds, the relatives usually buy something out of pity. These results in a few quick sales for a company that would have never even come close to getting those sales on their products merit alone. That, combined with the sales kit that you usually have to purchase, results in a small but notable profit for the company. After these FFAR sales the vast majority of workers realize that this isn't a real job at all, and quit. Of course, no one cares that you have quit, because you've already made the company a few bucks and there's another sucker just waiting to fill your shoes for the next few weeks.

Now, each individual only makes a few sales, which is why they must recruit people by the score in order to make any real money. That is why they snag people with well-worded ads and flyers aimed directly at the semi-clueless young person hell-bent on making a dent in the business world (or your average Joe looking for a job in my case). Usually, they promise things that they technically can deliver, such as management (you manage yourself)! And pay rates like $20 per hour (which mathematically works out only if you make an insane number of sales per day).in this case, however, they have crossed the line into actually deceiving people. From (Scam Information, Scam of the month, covering "Scentura", a company almost identical to DC Worldwide Management) Scentura Creations is a wholesale distributor based out of GA.
Scentura and DC Worldwide Management must continue to recruit people every week to survive. That is the crux of the pyramid scam. If they are barred from advertising in your local classifieds, the pyramid collapses, and these distribution centers will shut down, one by one.
They use the same methods to get you to do almost anything to sell this perfume, and in return promise you the American Dream!!! Do yourself a favor; if you are in the process of starting with this company or are already involved get out now. Save your family and yourself the heartache of their lies. Put your time and money, and oh yes you will spend your own money just to make a days quota so that you can get promoted to the next level. If you dont know the little secret that none of the Sr. Managers will tell you about, I will tell you. Once you become a Sr. Manager you are assigned a "Mission" your mission is to sell 60 bottles in a certain amount of time to pay for the start up cost of your office. If you dont accomplish your mission within the specified time limits you are left with two choices, quit or start over. The whole Idea of making money in this scam is to get the Sr. Managers to sell about 40 or 50 bottles in there mission and then they run out of time and are so disheartened by there failure. They dont have the heart to start all over again. Therefore the owners get to keep every last penny of your mission money for themselves. Because what they dont tell you is that Scentura Creations gives them and I mean GIVES them the 60 bottles for each Sr. Manager. Therefore when you fail, they get to keep all that money and have to send nothing back to Scentura Creations. Be careful in the decisions you make in your life. Work hard for yourself, and no one else but your family. Dont let these people brainwash you into believing their stories. The only way you can make money in this business is to become one of them and use and hurt people just like you to make a buck. Dont let them ruin your life. There is no pot of gold at the end of this rainbow I promise you. If you want to make some money, get educated in something. Spend that $10 to $20 dollars a day and put it into your education. Learn something that will help you to get a job that is only 40 hrs a week and where you will be compensated for your time. I hope my story will help someone to see the reality of their situation and help them to get out. Its all a lie.

The second you join Scentura DC Worldwide Management; your name is red-flagged by the IRS. There is no accurate way to keep track of your earnings, and the IRS has been severely cracking down on Scentura 'Distribution Center' owners.

There are lawsuits being filed against these 'distribution centers' as we speak. The false advertising and stupid promises made by them have preyed on young people for far too long, and finally someone is doing something to stop it.

Police officers DO NOT TOLERATE solicitation on the streets. Business-to-business is a gray area in law enforcement, and if you are found selling (I know you are told not to use that word, but that's what you're doing!) on the street, you will be ticketed and possibly arrested. County and City ordinances vary on this topic, and it would do you good to check with the laws of your city. Your owners need to you make street sales, so they will not warn you about possible consequences.

I would like to add who pays the sales tax. If the IRS needs extra cash these are the people they should go after.

PLEASE MAKE COPIES OF THIS AND GIVE IT TO EVERYONE IN THE CLASS! Warn people you know not to buy the products, and help us bring this scam down! You can be successful without this, and will be happy you walked out the door.
