University Of Phoenix Financial Aid Scam and Harrassment Phoenix Arizona

All I did was enter in my name, phone number and email address to request some information about the school. All of a sudden, a woman named Jacinta was calling me and enrolling me in the classes. I explained my situation to her in terms of the fact that I was 21, on my own and not able afford my own education. My parents would NOT be helping me and I would rely mostly on financial aid. She told me that it was fine and I would end up having to pay for some books and processing fees, but that that was it. Now I had gone to University of Maryland for a little while and received some credits, which apparently, were not able to be transferred to Phoenix due to their crazy system of classes.

Come to find out, you have to be 24 before the institutions will see you as an individual and not dependent on your parents. Guess what, my parents are not willing to help me with my financial aid. Most institutions that are not scams figure out your financial aid before you even enroll in classes. Not this one, they WANT to screw you. They enrolled me in these classes and had me take them before they even told me that I did not qualify for the full tution expenses, Not even half of them. Supposedly, I owe them 2050.00 for the classes I took, even though they told me it would all be covered.

Now, I'm getting harassing phone calls from their collection agency telling me that they will take me to court and have my wages garnished for the amount. I tried going to a debt consolidation in order to help me pay off this debt, and the collection agency tells me that that is not an acceptable way of paying them back, and that I'll have to pay 345 over the course of the next 6 months. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!! If you value your time and your money, DO NOT, under any circumstances, Give them your information to contact you. The next thing you know, you'll be enrolled in classes you can't pay for and getting phone calls for money you supposedly owe them.
