I was contaced by phone sometime in May or June. The person on the phone told me that I had been chosen to receive a Mastercard from them with a $2000 credit limit. The only requirement was a one-time activation fee of $199 to be debited from my checking account. She gave me a confirmation number and the phone number - 416-488-4664 -to call for any reason.
Almost three months l;ater when I realized I hadn't received the card yet, but my account had indeed been debited, I called the number and complained. The woman told me that their computers showed that my card had indeed been issued so she would have to send my complaint on to the manager division and one of them would be contacting me within the next three weeks. That has since come and passed and now noone answers the phone. I am quite upset as they are preying on people who do not have that much to begin with.
