I noticed a $14.95 monthly fee from a company that I did not know. I called the 1-888 phone number they supplied and they said that I opened an account in October. I told them I did no such thing.
They offered to refund me two months but no more. They said that they did everything perfectly legitimate and did nothing wrong. I should have been more responsible. I was so pissed off, I tried to call Restaurant.com (because I was told they got my credit card number from them). Unfortunately, they were closed.
I called my credit card company and informed them as to what was going on. I told them that I wanted to dispute all of the charges from Shopping-Essentials.com. I then contacted the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the Attorney General's Office for Shopping Essentials and Restaurant.com. We'll see what happens.
