I found today an unauthorized debit from Shopping Essentials on my bank statement for $14.95. The charge was made through my debit card #. I called the phone number associated with this charge and got "Shopping Essentials". I was told I had signed up for this service when I bought gift certificates from Restaurant.com. I DID buy the gift certificates but I did NOT sign up for the service! The $14.95 was my "monthly membership fee". I cancelled my "membership" but they would not refund my money. So I called my bank and have started the dispute process.
Do not buy anything from Restaurant.com as they apparently give your credit card info out willy-nilly to any of their "partners"!! And if you ever see a charge from Shopping Essentials, get that crap cancelled RIGHT AWAY!
