I was a customer of dtv for 4 yrs, last yr received only half of the channels i paid for. A tech was sent out to me in june. Two men w/o id, truck or uniform and no english requested entry into my bedroom. Kicked my front door when i refused to allow them in. Dtv could not track down the 2 men since they were subcontacted out thru dtv. I live alone and was shaken. Still no service.
second tech dispatched, still no service on half channels. Finally third and final tech dispatched in oct and relayed to me that the problem was a broken cable box, should have been replaced in june. Dtv promised a refund for the 6 i paid for and did not receive service in nov. December they changed their mind, i wrote a letter to corporate office with dates, times and places, id #'s names etc etc. This friday past, 2/8/07. I called my bank on a whim and discovered dtv debited my bank acct for 350.00. And i never ever ever gave them the account number, never on a direct bill pay and never paid with the same cc card two mos in a row.in essence i never authorized it! How did they get the bank acct number. My bank, bank atlantic, does not want to get involved. Claiming it is a merchant dispute. I called the better bus bureau, and have bee directed to complaint lines, but i need my money and im getting no where, just sick over it. Thank you
