I recieved a letter of notice for a returned check in august from telecheck. A money order was sent to cover the check and the fee. Now almost 6 months later I get a letter from cook county states attorneys' office stating that I am going to be forced to pay 191.00 for a check that was supposed to have been taken care of. And I would also have to pay 165.00 to take a class. Why should I have to do this. I paid telecheck who in turn should have paid the retailer. I called telecheck to tell them that i had a receipt from them and the told me it was fake and the never got the money. And it was out of their hands. And the state would deal with it. I contacted the merchant to ask if they had recieed it and they told me no and that this was not the only time that they have had a problem with this particular company. So I did some reach and call other companies whom have used telecheck to collect money for them aover half have never gotten their payments. So is it the just the people who file complaints against them that are supposed to be crazy or is there something really wrong with telecheck!
