A couple of months ago, I had a check come back NSF from my bank. Upon investigation, it was a bank error. The check was written to a merchant that uses TeleCheck. I immediately call Telecheck and paid for check and once we figured out what happen, my bank reimbursed me the money. I was told by TeleCheck that my account was cleared and I would no longer have any issues. Today, I'm at the grocery store and my check was declined. I called TeleCheck to find out what was going on and they told me that my account is being monitored because I do not have enough "history" with check writing through them!!! I was pissed. First I was told that my account had cleared, now they are monitoring EVERY check that I write and they will decide if they will allow it to go through or not. THIS IS UNLAWFUL! I need help to find out what I can do to fix this!
