Community Promotions rips off consumers tricking them into thinking they are donating $ to charities!

I wanted to warn people that decide to work with this company that they are not intrested in helping out the charities they "say" they represent but the are focused on making money for themselves instead.

I worked for Community Promotions for almost 3 months. The owner had told us that 20% of the profit of all of the merchandise we sold on the street corner went to the charity. One day we were handed receipt books to use on the DARE campaign. The receipt book said that only 5% went to the charity. The owner told us to never give these receipts to the buyer, but to keep them filled out for her records. If she sends you on a "roadtrip" you will be required to pay for all of your gas no matter how many miles away it is. On my road trip I put 900 miles on my car.

You will be told that you work 8-6 Monday through Friday. Once you get promoted (wow yippee a promotion without a pay raise in only 4 days!) You will be required to work 7:30- 7:30-8:00 sometimes later if you "extra mile" to reach your goal. I was a top producer for 3 months at this company working 70-80 hours a week and putting thousands of miles on my car my paycheck average $400-$550 per week. I was spending $200 in gas, $50-75 on lunches for trainees. I would rather be flipping burgers for $7 an hour.

They teach you to lie to people, mislead people and deceive everyone around you. If you have a declined credit card they make you pay for it. If you miscount your merchandise and you have more peices than you went out with they make you pay for it. If you are working in a team and the other team member steals money from your money pouch you end up paying for it. If you get a ticket for soliciting on the street you will have to pay for it. If you want health insurance the company will never have it and they will tell you to purchase your own plan and deduct it from your taxes.

This company is a scam and anyone who donates money to them, buys the cheap merchandise they are hustling on the street corner or works for them should be warned.
