I have a gift card from Suncoast for a return. The gift card states that it is good online or at all of their Suncoast Sam Goody stores. When I go on their web sites to check the balance of my card, it shows my balance. However, when I go to their store or online to use my card, they will no honor it. They try to tell me, the gift card was given to me by the "Old Suncoast" They say that Suncoast went Bankrupt. I feel that since they are still using the same name, branding, and merchandise of the old store they need to honor this card.
I am a retailer, and I was not advised anything about my gift card no longer being honored. If they didnt want to honor the gift cards they should have used the necessary resources for renaming the company, and advertising their new business name. They can't just blame it on the other guy and play dumb.
