First off I did not even hire All Year Round Movers I originally hired Global Moving in Brooklyn, NY to move me from New Jersey to Georgia. I received a BINDING price of $1200 from Global and was told that I could make changes or add inventory up to 48 hours before the move. So I had more inventory and added it to my price and then received another price again BINDING of $1330 from Global Moving. I informed Global of a long carry from my front door to the truck and also of 14 stairs and a large old style big screen tv and was told that none of it mattered and there would be no additional charges. I checked out Global Moving to and found nothing written against them anywhere and nothing on the BBB so I hired them. The day of move came and here was All Year Round Movers I said who are you I didn't hire you and they told me that Global hired them so I was ok with it and figured they had the same price but they didn't they had the first price of $1200 but said they would honor the $1330 price as long as I faxed them a copy!!! They would honor ha! I then was told about a $350 extra charge for the stairs and long carry!!! Ha again I called Global back and got nowhere so I spoke to Ben at All Year and he said pay my guys whatever you were prepared to and I will make payment arrangements with you for the rest so ok I figured we were good to go. I had 30 days of free storage so when that was almost up I called them for 4 days before they called me back and when they did they stated that I had to pay for a full month of storage even though I told them I was moving into my place within the next two weeks! Their website says that their storage fees are prorated for the day or month they told me that it is never prorated and their paperwork says the same talk about misleading! Needless to say the money that they wanted for storage was $425 for one month!!! They said if I didn't pay by the 5th of the month they would sell my stuff!!! I had to borrow the money from someone (and this is the money I was going to pay them when they delivered myself) because I am unemployed and I informed Ben of this at the time of my pickup and he said he would work with me and accept payments from me. Needless to say I called them on the 5,6, 7 and 8 they finally called me back on the 9 and I told them straight up I was not paying any late fees and that I would be moving into my place on the 12 why couldn't they take the money for storage and put toward my move instead they said no and that if I didn't pay they would sell my stuff! I paid them $444 for storage cause they added some other charge on to the $425!!! I paid them $420 cash when they picked up and I put a $300 deposit with Global!!! Needless to say they are now trying to charge me $2563 said it is for weight over the estimate, stairs and long carry and packing materials!!! They never used packing materials they made me go buy boxes and used my packing tape! And I told them it was fine!!! Not to worry about it!!! Now they are charging me all this money and won't deliver my stuff!!! I contacted Move Rescue who is taking steps to try and help me! I called the police and they told me tell them to come deliver and I will pay when you get here so I did. All Year came with my stuff and said pay me first then we will unload your stuff I said no you unload my stuff first and then we will talk and they refused! They said they are gonna charge me $550 for redelivery when they were at my location already!!! I told them my contract is binding and you can't charge me more and they said oh yeah it is based on weight and I argued not with a binding contract! Then told them even with a non binding contract you can't go over more then a certain percantage of your original contract! They then said oh there are two contracts I said oh then why do I only have one! My roommate asked the driver for a copy of the second contract and they said oh can you sign it then we will give you a copy and she said no way I am not signing that! So they wrote up another contract that I NEVER signed for all these extra charges and are holding my belongings for ransom! It is such bullsh*t!!! I have now contacted and filed complaints with the FHA, BBB, Attorney General and called a lawyer! I have had my townhome for a week now and cannot stay there because they are scam artists and won't deliver my stuff!!! I hope the FHA gets my report and pulls their license!!! Beware of these scammers!!! Ben and Sophie ha they have different things written on their website and the back of their bill of lading! Never use this company!!!
