Dealtree, Dealtree.com, Dealtree-Auctions, Dealtree-Closeouts Sold a monitor with 7 day warranty on ebay and will not honor the warranty

8-21-07 I won ebay auction #140148016393 a "White" as pictured Sony sdm-s81 18" computer lcd monitor with 7 day warranty, I clicked the pay now and was directed to the dealtree proprietary shopping cart checkout system would not work, either credit card or threw PayPal, The next day 8-22-07 I tried again and same thing the checkout would not go threw, a couple of attempts later the payment went threw to PayPal and I made the payment of $108.24.

The monitor now a "Black" Sony sdm-s81 18" monitor arrived without a invoice, I was not concerned with the color of the monitor white or black I did not care what color the chassis was I just wanted a correctly working monitor as listed in the auction, Closing time here at the computer shop I hooked it up, it powered it on and I ran it just long enough to get to the Windows welcome screen it seemed to be working to me, The next day I hooked it up again, Powered it up and let Windows load fully the image was blurry and the colors were distorted! I tried to adjusted it and it did not help still looked bad, tried it on three different machines here same results.

I request a RMA and was told to by them go to the manufacture to see if they would warranty the now 5 year old monitor dealtree then went on wanting me to download drivers which did hook it up again and download the small file from sony and installed it, no help made no difference and try one thing after another in an attempt to get it to work. Then they tried to blame the shipping company for damaging it, but the box had no damage to it.

I then took photos of the distorted screen, Days later a RMA was issued I then paid another $19.75 and shipped it back. Days went buy nothing from dealtree I contact them again about it. They find it and said that the monitor works fine and that it was a unauthorized return and they are going to charge me a 25% restocking fee.

I then went to PayPal to file a claim to get all my money back. PayPal said that they have no way to see that the monitor was paid for as a ebay auction item and the the claim was now denied. Somehow using dealtree's check out system they were able to mask that I was paying for a ebay auction item #140148016393 and drop me at PayPal just sending them some money for just goods. I just spent $127.99 and got railroaded and RIPPED - OFF by dealtree.
