On August 11, I received a call stating that I was told that I had pre-qualified for a $2,500.00 master card. I was informed that an annual fee of $29.95 would be needed to have my card processed and mailed out.
I questioned this solicitor extensively for approximately fifteen minutes, because the deal sounded to-good-to-be-true! This particular representative, Sean Michaels, Rep. ID # 1046, reassured me to no end that this deal was indeed true. He told me that there were a couple of other offers that I was eligible for that would cost $59.00 and $99.00. He told me to review the information for a free trial period of 7 days and the other for 15 days. He said that during that time if I did not want that particular service, simply call and cancel.
I was then given and ID# of 03136595. Well, as of August 19, the initial fee of $29.95 had been withdrawn. No card has shown up in the mail. On today, August 25, something kept telling me to go online to see what I could find out about the company. Well, needless to say, I stumbled upon this website. It really hit me in the gut to see the identical information and numbers and stories reported.
No, I haven't felt the full-blow yet, but I've seen enough to know that my situation is going to have a negative outcome as well. First, thing tomorrow, I will be going to my bank and making certain that not another cent is withdrawn by this company.
My advice to anyone who is approached by any type of solicitors, if your gut says "no", say "no."
