I wish I had read usacomplaints. Coms on this company before I needed a credit report! I just needed 1 report, as I knew my credit record had to be good, but was rated poor by my insurance co. I chose Triple Advantage because it was supposed to be free for a one time thing. Somehow in all the rigamarole of signing up to get it I must have given them my credit card number. I got the report and copied it off, and thought no more about it till today there is a charge of 12.95 charged to my card that showed up on my bank statement.
I thought it a little weird at the time as when I realized they had put me on an account and if not cancelled in 30 days I would be billed each month, I tried to get back on to their site and it would not accept my password, so was unable to. Oh, and they charged me 19.95 at the time as well for my free report. Also on my debit card. I didn't think much about that at the time, but I did not authorize them to continue charging me each month.
There is a telephone number on my statement and I will try to call on Monday, but from all reports I have read on this company I am not hopeful for any more success in that area than trying to cancel it online.
I will keep you posted as to the outcome of this, it surely needs to be stopped, as it seems there are alot of people have had the same experience I have, and I will feel fortunate if I don't get ripped off even more by these scoundrals.
