ScooterDemand-Win Win Auto Group brand new scooters they sold me are lemons. Won't stand behind product or warranty ripoff

I spent months researching different companies to find the best deal on motor scooters. I contacted Scooter Demand in Wichita, KS and spoke to a person named Nick. I called them because they were in the midwest and he answered all my questions satisfactorily. I asked if they backed up their product and they said yes. I had an extended warranty offered as well.

I called the following day and paid almost $2200 with my bank debit card for a 250 cc bali scooter. They said it would arrive in about 7 days. When I got it, it was the wrong color with all sort of scratched and a few broken parts I was having issues putting it together. Also, I didn't receive the radio that was suppose to come with it.

After a few phone calls that day, they agreed to pay a mechanic to put it together for me and discount 150-200 dollars for the scratches and broken parts. I took pictures and emailed them to the company. They weren't as nice to me as they were before they got my money. After ordering the replacement parts, I test drove this 2007 model and the battery kept dying. The replacement parts took several weeks to receive and they sent the wrong parts.

I basically had a new scooter that I couldn't drive. Frustrated by their attitude and lack of fixing this problem, I asked for my money back or for them to replace this lemon with a new one. They refused saying they had done all they were going to do for me. I contacted the BBB in Kansas and the Attorney Generals office in Nebraska and filed a complaint. After about a month of mediation with the AG's office the said if I drove to Wichita they would swap out the scooter. No questions asked.

I drove 6 hours there with a trailer to exchange and got nothing but insulted about how it was my fault that the scooter was damaged and that I caused all the problems. I drove down the street after the exchange and loaded the scooter for the trip back to Omaha. I didn't want to be around them any longer than I had too.

When I got home, I took the scooter for a test drive. I questioned as to whether or not they had given me a new scooter because when we picked it up it had over 34 miles on the odometer. They said they had to test drive it. Whatever. Anyways, I had a friend follow behind me while I drove through the neighborhood and after about 15 minutes there was smoke coming from under the scooter. I pulled over immediately to inspect.

All I could tell was that the radiator filler neck had busted. It was plastic and spewed antifreeze all over the place. I called Scooter Demand to tell them and they made it out to be a common problem with the scooter. Cheap Chinese parts they said. They ordered me a new filler neck and I waited several weeks for the part to arrive.

I kept getting told it was on back order, coming from China. All I cared about was that I forked out over $2000 dollars for a scooter I couldn't drive. The finally contacted a contractor in Florida that could replicate the filler neck out of brass. They told me to contact him and bill the company for it. When they found out it cost over $86 dollars to fix they had a fit but they paid it.

Finally got the part close to the end of October. Bought the Scooter in August. Now on second scooter I could not drive and now we were entering colder weather and still couldn't drive. I was anxious to test drive it because of the overheating issue with the radiator filler neck incident. Had a mechanic check it out to see if it fried the engine, but he said it couldn't be checked until we could test drive it.

Anyways, Finally got the filler neck on and didn't realize that on of the connector hoses to the filler neck was broke as well. Also, realized that the headlights didn't work. So, Ordered those parts and waited about a week. Only to get sent the worng parts. I sent an email with pictures to them about the broken parts so they could see for themselves and they still sent the wrong parts. Entering December. Still not able to drive brand new scooter and still waiting on parts.

After several email request for the correct parts they told me to mail them the broken parts and they would replace. So, I did. And I waited and waited and waited for nothing. I finally paid a mechanic 45 dollars to fix the connector hose problem, but I was still waiting on the headlight switch.

Now we are into May. Took it out for a test drive today and got about 20 miles down the road when the bike just stopped moving. It was running, but wouldn't go. I called Scooter Demand and asked that the call me asap because I was tired of messing with this scooter. I said they could either refund my money. Or get me a scooter that actually worked. That was at 10 AM. They finally got around to calling me back close to 6 PM. "Josh" I think it was Nick called and was nothing but rude to me.

I said I would just reinstate my complaints if they didn't like the 2 options presented. He offered me 600-700 dollars and to return the bike back to be done with it. I said NO. I paid a little over $2000 for this scooter to not even be able to ride it. I think lemon laws should apply.

Supposedly it was a brand new 2007 model. I shouldn't be having these issue with a brand new scooter. He stated that they wished they had never sold me the scooter because I am such a pain in the butt. Well, you would be a pain it the butt too if you paid that much money for something that had a warranty and was brand new and didn't work properly and kept breaking down all the time.

Now I am on a mission to get my money back and tell everyone I can what a terrible company they are and not to do business with them. He had the nerve to tell me to sue the manufacturer and leave them. The small business alone. I hold them responsible and they can take the issue up with the manufacturer. Of course this complaint is shortened, but you get the idea. Hoepfully, you agree.
