I was sent an e-mail from dxpexecutivesearch. They had seen my resume on Monster.com and wanted to know if I was still in the job market. I was invited to their website to give them more information.
After answering their questions, I was called by Blair Johnston. He saw that I had filled out their forms online and he felt he could find me a job. He said that before they would forward my information onto potential employers, we had to meet in person. This was a company policy.
I drove the 3-1/2 hours to meet with Blair. While waiting for my appointment 3 others arrived. We began talking and discovered that we were all there to meet the same guy at the same time.
After sitting down for about 10 minutes, 3 of us walked out. Whatever name they go by, they are not a headhunter or a recruiter. Most of us that met with Blair that day drove from several hours away and were highly disappointed.
This company wanted us to pay them thousands of dollars to write our resume and teach us how to look for jobs. If you are looking for this type of service they might be able to help you but I was lied to and mislead to get me into their office. I wasted $70 in gas and an entire day of job hunting and these guys could not understand why I was upset with them.
