I first noticed charges on my phone bill in Feburary 2007 from ESBI. The charge was $14.95. I had no clue what this company was or what I was being charged for. I called them and they told me it was for "coupons I had ordered online".
I DO NOT order things online and told them this. They assured me the charge would be removed from my phone bill. It is now May and the charges are still on my bill. I have called them every month and gotten the same run around. They even sent me a check for $14.95 saying I had paid for previous months for their service which I was unaware of. Then when I cashed the check they returned it to my bank and this amount was withdrawn from my checking acct.
I am getting nowhere with these people in trying to resolve this. I am very frustrated at this point. How many people have they charged this amount and gotten away with it? Also why would they send me a check and then refuse to honor it. Isnt that illegal???
I will be contacting the state attorney general on this matter. Any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.
