Galveston Leadership School Teacher offers husband's position as Judge to course children to leave the state. Ripoff

Guns are not the only things going crazy in our schools these days. Our system is manipulating our children.

Lisa Schweitzer (Leadership Teacher) has brought more harm and danger to my child by not following legal procedures and allowing herself to be emotionally led to step out of the rules, regulations, law, and responsibility of the position she holds. She had been encouraging my daughter to leave the state, for at least three weeks, instead of notifying anyone of something troubling my child.

As soon as Ms. Schweitzer felt there to be a problem or a concern she should have notified me. If she didn't feel comfortable with that, she should have spoke to the Principle, or immediately contacted CPS. So that they could investigate the situation.instead, Ms. Schweitzer abused her authority and positioned of not only herself but of her husband who is an Judge/attorney here in Galveston. She contacted the Father whom I just found out lives in Indiana, and told him that her husband is an attorney and that he would draw the papers up for free, all he had to do was get down here "NOW" to pick her up.

The Father spoke to me yesterday and apologized for how this was handled. He said that he didn't know anything until the teacher called him. He apparently had no idea that CPS would in fact be involved. Maybe Ms. Schweitzer wised up, or maybe her husband informed her of the law. I have also received information that Ms. Schweitzer was encouraging Christina to wait until she was 17, and that instead of truly putting the child's health and interest at best concern here, encouraging her to discuss anything wrong with a counselor, CPS, that she would help her leave. This is wrong behavior and procedures in every aspect. Really makes you wonder if our teachers are in fact in best care of our children.

Not only does my child not know her father, neither does Ms. Schweitzer. I could share all the reasons and experiences of why I divorced him, and removed our life from that environment, but the history of his life, even beyond with me, are involved with legal documents. One thing I will share with you, is this employee almost put my child in the hands of a very dangerous man without knowing his history or going through proper procedures of providing a safe route for my child. Small example, He hasn't been out of prison very long for stabbing his family member.

There are more circumstances that Schweitzer never considered. My daughter has a chronic illness. The father has no idea how to handle or prepare a life for a child with a disability. If one of her concerns was the health of my child she should have considered that before handling this as she has. Christina has been followed by her Doctor in Houston since she was around seven. To have my child picked up and taken out of the state could have resulted with no medical means to provide medication, care, and proper monitoring of her condition. She fed into my daughters transition of growing up, not only has she caused immediate harm and danger to my family, by taking control, she has also caused a risk of danger to the one who is now caring for my child "The Aunt of the Father". Billy (the father) has now because of Ms. Schweitzer telling him to, been to the Aunt's house, to demand and threat her, for possession of Christina. The Aunt shared with me this morning she will be getting a restraining order against Billy. All because of GISD employee. Billy is extremely mad, because he drove over 1800 miles to pick Christina up, with the authority and hopes Schweitzer gave.

Schweitzer has been such an influence, of misleading my child during this time, she has caused such a glitz in her life, to where now she may not continue her education, she may not graduate.

I understand children have rights, but parents have rights as well. One of my rights is knowing that my child's best interest while being at school are being considered, and that proper procedures are being followed. She had no authority to mislead my child and handle our lives as she did. Schweitzer had no right to go above the law. Schweitzer should also consider the harm of what this could do to Jim Schweitzer, unless this is the type of things she does all of the time. Leaves a major concern of other children who are close to the age of 17. Does she always offer her husbands positioned this way? And how many lives has she destroyed by this same attempt? I informed the Superintendent, requested a meeting with Schweitzer. The Executive Director of GISD executed an investigation and found it to have lacked proper procedures of handling situations such as this. She stated that she could not give me any type of documents due to legal reasons. She said she was bringing in CHAPA to have the district trained.

CPS has since then invaded my home with three officers requesting for me to let them take Christina to her Aunts. After the shock and humiliation, and the lack of knowing my rights, I let her go. Three months have went by with very little attempt of CPS providing promised counseling for my daughter. They stated that they wanted her back home. I have strongly suggested not until counseling and acknowledgement of her wrong doings. After three months just two days ago, my daughter had her first counseling. CPS is now aware there were no wrong doings on my part. Now they just want this to be closed.

The only documents I have received is the one from the first night of volunteering release of my daughter, to a request of family counseling. CPS case workers Courtney Wilson, followed by Brandy Hall, stated they were trying to help Christina, while misleading the recovery of my child. Last night CPS ordered the Aunt to drop Christina off at my house. Pat Blake, the aunt was ordered "not" to notify me of this at all. Just drop her off. One week prior, I told CPS on speaker with Caseworker and Supervisor that if my daughter did not want to come home, and she herself told them she would run away, unless she tells the truth and you guys get her help, that it would be of best interest to all members of my family and safety of Christina that she remains where they believed was best for her. Can they do that? Is that the way our system works? Just drop the child off with no notification to the parents, no documents, nothing. Just a closed case?
