I started working for Alyson Dunsford at the Athena Marketing Team back in February of 06. I stopped working for her in May of 06. I still have yet to recieve a check for the last two invoices that I submitted totalling $260.00.
Like others, I received unsigned checks... After other incidents that I have seen reported which means Ms. Dunsford conveniently has forgotten to sign checks more than once. I always sent my invoices on time and was rarely if ever, paid when I was told I would be. I had one check that bounced due to insufficient funds when I did deposit it, causing my bank account to go into the negative. Ms. Dunsford promised to reimburse me for any bank fees but never did.
I have several emails that I have saved that were sent back and forth between us during the entire time I worked as a contractor that did nothing but praise my work, I submitted invoices on time and always kept her abreast of my progress on every project.
I have been more than patient in asking her to pay me for my last two invoices.
Several months ago, she responded to one of my emails begging for payment and said that she had sent me final payment through Paypal, but when I went to check and see whether it had cleared, they said she had cancelled the payment.
I have never heard from her since then via phone or email, although I have left messages and emails begging to be paid and for her to atleast have the decency to call or email me with info on when I will be paid.
She had the time to send out my 1099 for tax purposes but now I have to take the time and try and figure out whether she lied and included money she didn't pay me or if she excluded money that I earned.
I have email documents to back up everything I have said and so Ms. Dunsford cannot dispute that what I say is true. She has admitted to owing me this money, there was never a dispute over it but she refuses to pay.
