I started working for Athena Marketing back in Febuary of this year. I communicated several times a week via phone and email with the owner of this company, Alyson Dunsford. My job was to set appointmentsfor various companies and follow up with potential clients.
All was going well with the company for a couple of months.
Payroll was a bit slow from the get go with this company, but paychecks were being sent regularly.
On May 12 I deposited a payroll check for $706.75 into my checking account. This pay represented work that I had done for the the first three weeks of April.
I continued to work for this company. On May 23 I decided to give a two week notice and take some time off for the summer to spend with my family. Alyson appeared to be ok with my decision and I anticipated starting back up in September.
I received word from my bank on June 1st that the check for $706.75 had bounced. I was angry about this and contacted Alyson about it. I immediatly stopped working for the company.
By this time I was owed a total of $ 1588.98.
Alyson advised me On June 6th that she was awaiting payment from a client overseas in India and would get this sorted. She emailed me once again on June 9th that the payment was received from the client but needed to clear the bank.
I have not heard from Alyson Dunsford since June 9th. I have sent her several emails asking to be paid and letting her know how unprofessional she is.
In conclusion, I am owed a total of $ 1588.98 for work done for the months of April and May. I expect Ms. Dunsford to pay me immediatly for this long over due issue.
