Today, I received a statement from my bank that I have someone tried to debit my account of $49.95. Since my account was negative that I got a charged a NSF fee. I called the bank to see what this charge was and from who.
I found out it was from Secret Cash Card. I've never heard of them and have never been in contact with them. My bank told the number and website to go to and call them.
So I called their 866-496-1799 and it said the number was disconnected. So I went to the website and wanted to enter an inquire about why they debited my account without authorization but it says if I submit this that it will remember my IP address so I did not submit the request. I did not want them to know my IP address.
I have done payday loans before they have always asked for an e-signature to authorize putting money into my account as well to debit my account on my pay dates.
Apparently, this company is on payday loan websites but on the Secret Cash card site that it says it is not affliated with any payday loan companies which seems bizarre since they come up on payday loan site. Then I found their alternate number which is 401-228-9232 which is an answering service located in Rhode Island. All they say if you have any inquires please go to the website and e-mail them. They could not even provide any answers and they are suppose to be an answering service.
I would not even go to this site b/c the site says it where you can get a prepaid Mastercard and don't have to worry about SS#, personal info, and etc. I have my own debit card as well as a credit card. Why would I go to this site to obtain and stupid prepaid card where I can get something like this down the street from me.
Everything seems so bogus and I am furious. I called them back and told them off. I am working with my bank about this issue but it seems like it is going to go nowhere. This is absolutely ridiculous. FRAUD!!! I want my NSF charge reversed as well this company put out of commission.
