I worked at Yellow Duck Park the summer of '06. Now it's Dec 06 and Yellow Duck Park STILL has not paid me or other summer help. Everyone I know that worked at Yellow Duck Park this past summer is still waiting for their pay.
Len McGarvey, the owner/manager of Yellow Duck Park lied to us all summer. Stories of problems the bank caused. HA! Yellow Duck Park pay checks bounced all summer because there was not money in the Yellow Duck Park account. We are still waiting to be paid.
Yellow Duck Park is trying to lure people in for next year. DON'T JOIN! Take a look at Yellow Duck Park. It has been "renovating" for years! And it's still a mess. Yellow Duck Park or should I say Yellow Duck Resort is a pipe dream. Yellow Duck Park is a muddy hole in the ground and has been for years.
I discovered there are YEARS of employees of Yellow Duck Park that have not been paid. Years of them! Unfortunately I discovered this after I began working there. First Yellow Duck Park had pay checks that cleared. Then the pay checks from Yellow Duck Park began to bounce. And Len McGarvey always had a tale to tell the employees of Yellow Duck Park about why there was no money.
He convinced us to continue working for Yellow Duck Park because "next week" we would get our money. A joke. He lies. He is scum. I was brought up believing adults. No one warned me or the employees of Yellow Duck Park that the owner, Len McGarvey, would spend the summer lying about our pay. Lying to the public. Lying to the news media. Lying to our parents. The owner of Yellow Duck Park seems to make a habit of lying to anyone that doesn't believe in the Yellow Duck Park BS he tells.
Yes - Yellow Duck Park has a history of hiring young people for the summer. Then Yellow Duck Park continues the history of NOT PAYING the summer help. According to the local court house, Yellow Duck Park does not pay the Halloween Lights help. Yellow Duck Park has complaints because they don't pay the Holiday Festival of Lights people. Yellow Duck Park just steals the employees time. Yes, apparently even the people who work the Holiday Festival of Lights at Yellow Duck Park seem to go unpaid. DON'T GO! DO NOT BUY A MEMBERSHIP to Yellow Duck Park. Stay away from the 2006 Festival of Lights at Yellow Duck Park.
If I ever get paid for my work at Yellow Duck Park I will amend this rip off report. But until I get paid for my work at Yellow Duck Park I stand by this information. And if you plan to attend the Holiday Festival of Lights at Yellow Duck Park I hope you realize what a con artist Len McGarvey is. The 2006 summer employees of Yellow Duck Park sure have learned the hard way what a con artist Len McGarvey is. And all the previous employees at Yellow Duck Park - going back for years back - have learned the same thing. They too are waiting to be paid for working at Yellow Duck Park, working the Festival of Lights at Yellow Duck Park, and working Halloween Town at Yellow Duck Park.
Come on Len McGarvey, start paying the people you owe money.
