My boyfriend rec'd a letter and a check for $2835.00. The letter states that he won $50,000.00. The $2835.00 was deducted form his winnings. The letter stated that the
goverment taxes cannot be deducted from the winning amount because the insurance bond policy coverage. Then the letter stated that the tax amount is $2235.00 to be paid directly to the tax agent (tax agent will be assigned to yoy by the time you CALL THE OFFICE) and receipts must be faxed immediately to 1-866-339-2885. Then it states, not to cash the check until you CALL. Keep the winning CONFIDENTIAL until your clam has been processed.
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah! What a scam. I am sad to say that he almost fell for it... Until I asked him could I check it out. My RED FLAG went up asap. I wonder how many poor souls fell for this Scam - Spam? If it quacks like a duck, walks like a duck, looks like a duck, then it is a DUCK!
By the way the, "Duck's", name on this letter is DAVE MOORE, Promotion Manager. He can be reached mon - fri 9 am to 7pm and on sat 10 am to 3pm (EST) at: 1-438-995-4595.
