We called the 800 number from their ad in our newspaper for the furnace/vents/returns/mains cleaning for $99. A crew of two showed up the next morning. The "boss" of the crew said that it would be an additional charge of $15 for each extra return and $10 for each extra vent. From that explanation I figured the total would be between $150 and $200.
While they were cleaning the furnace the boss asked me if we would like our carpets cleaned. The newspaper ad said 5 rooms for $50, so I figured this would bring the total to $200-$250. Six to eight hours later the boss called his boss to get prices on their work. He then told me that the total price was $1009.
My wife and I then knew that we had been taken to the cleaners by a "shady business?" We paid and they left us with a list of what they had done. Our carpet is dirtier than when they "cleaned" it, and we still get dust from our "cleaned" furnace. We are very unhappy with the results to say the least. We would hope that shady businesses like this would be investigated and put out of business!!
