Scammers buy on eBay and use PayPal. You must ship your item express, and you get to pay for insurance. They receive your item, then tell PayPal that they never received it, even though they have to sign for it. They do not care. PayPal refunds your money from your Visa card for them, so they get your item for free and you get to pay for them to get it. You call PayPal and waste about 6 hours on the phone with a person who only knows how to say they are looking into it. You must send them all your originals, not copies. They give you a PayPal number and do nothing, ever. I have been waiting for as long as 8 years and as short as 1 year. The old owners of PayPal went to jail for their scams of swiping your money from your account.
You would put money in there and use some of it, and then it would disappear. I emailed them asking what happened to the rest of my money, and all they would do is email me back saying I have a $0.00 balance in my account. I sent them an email stating that I had $57.00 and some cents that I do not remember, but all they did was email me that I have a $0.00 balance. They all went to jail, and they had to sell PayPal. Meg Whitman bought it and is the owner of PayPal. However, I do not think she has anything to do with any of the scams. Most people do not have any trouble with PayPal, but some do. That is why you see in some eBay listings that they do NOT take PayPal.
In my listings I had a $250.00 PayPal user fee. I had to add "nonrefundable" because there were people willing to pay up to $1,000.00 for a $28.00 item. Why not? They get it all back, plus your item, all for free. I have lost about $300, 3 different times.
After about 10 years on eBay, I have been kicked off eBay. People received an "as is" item and think it should work because they got it not working. One guy says he sent me money and I never sent his item. I asked him if he received an email from me saying that I received his payment. He did not respond to that question. He just wants me to refund his money. I told him to go to his bank or post office and see if it was cashed, but he would not do that for some reason. He did not say; he just wants me to refund his money. eBay wants me to email everyone that had complaints and refund them their money or make things right. However, I could not email anyone on eBay because I could not use eBay at all. I told them that, and after weeks they did give me the email links to the people, and I emailed them. None responded except the guy who wants me to refund his money but would not go to his bank or post office for proof that I cashed it or that he even sent any.
Well, that is my story about PayPal on eBay. I am sure others have had crazy things happen to them too.
