Once again I was ripped by circuit city on rebates. This time it was a double rebate. On 8/17/06 I purchased a video card with a double rebate. I placed the 2 rebate slips and the bar code from the box in a envelope and mailed it to them. I was to receive a rebate through them from nivida for 30$ and one from circuit city for 30$.
After waiting the full 8 weeks I got one rebate for 30$. When I called their rebate center I was told that you cannot mail 2 rebates in one envelope that is why I only got 1. Funny thing is last year same thing happened to me only last year they said there was no bar code and they cannot give a rebate without the bar code. At that time I still had the box and looked and the bar code was cut out as I knew I had sent it. So that was 1 rippoff by them.
So I want to know how do you place 1 bar code in 2 envelopes as they will not take a copy of it. Think about it no bar code no rebate. Two envelopes and only 1 bar code means 1 rebate. One envelope 2 rebates 1 bar code 1 rebate, either way it comes out 30$ not 60$ like they had on their shelf ad.
I am not going to lay down and roll over this time for them I will try one more time to get the rebate they said I would get then I am writting the atourney general in New York State and exposing them as the scammers they are.
