I went partners on a retail store back in 2002. After I have found out that my so called parnter was committing fraud and amonst other issues I wanted to change all the equipment which is the credit card machine. I had another company come in whichnwas suppose to change out the terminal. Well has time goes on I got ill and due to the fact my son had passaway in 2001 and with every thing going on with the store I was not there a lot. I assumed the equipment got changed out and everyhting was fine.
Well months later I started noticing I had not one but two city lease finance comming out of my bank account. One was for 48.00 dollards and the other was for 101.00 dollars. So when I found out I immediately tried seeing what was going on.
This leasing company turned out to be the same leasing company retriver used but I got the equipment from another company. Citi lease debited out 2600.00 dollars to much due to saying I had 2 leases, but I only had 1 credit card machine and one pin pad. Somehow the equipment was never delivered and we were using the old machine. I tried my hardest for about a year and a half to straighten this out. Hours on the phone even 3 way conversations. Granted I did sign leases but I was pretty confused.
I wound up taking the other company to court and basically won a judgement saying I never got the equipment. I did pay off the one lease because we swere still using the first equipment which I thought we were getting new. I made cit aware of the court but nice of them they ruined my credit turned me over to a collection agency when they owe me 2600.00 dollars becsuse I was under the assumption that the outcome of the first court case was going to decide on how it was going to turn out.
There is no reason why they should not get their money back from the first company reimburse me and write letters saying it is not my fault and clear my credit. I was at over 700 credit rating amd now I am luck to be at 500. My bank will not refinance my house flat out. Please I hope you can help me
