These scumbags sued me 2 years ago. The shoddy looking papers they send you don't even look real so I did not go to court thinking it was a collection ploy. Anyways, they originally filed papers with the court a year before. Today I found out through my research that they did not even have a license in this state at that time when they originally filed before they sued me. Now they send me papers trying to get me to pay half the amount which is totally inflated. Is that legal that once they sue you to try to get you to pay half? I would appreciate some advice in this matter.
