Virginia Swanson and her sidekick daughter Tosca Page together are a dynamic duo rip off. They "qualify" you to see if you're gullible enough to swindle $ out of.
They promised they had properties in their VIP Program and that your credit or finances are never an issue. They say they have it all lined up for you and you will own property in 2-3 months while Virginia teaches you "creative" real estate investing.
First, they charge you $6k tuition and then $1k per "special project" (property). Well, Virginia took me into her office. I told her I was a single parent and have no real $ to invest. "No problem, " she said. She asked if I had any credit cards and what their limts were. She had me max one out to the tune of $12k to fast track my journey to "financial independence" since I was "handpicked" by her daughter, I was promised at least 4 properties in 3 months. It was all a lie. Plain FRAUD!!!
I was told to carry the balance for a few months until I made my big $ to pay it off. She suggested I transfer balances from card to card so that they pay each other and nothing comes out of my pocket for the time being. Since, it would only be temporary.
She spoke of properties in various states that just didn't exist. She pressured students into putting $1k down per property and to sign up for as many as possible, right now! They were new construction according to her. When asked basic questions like the exact location (address) or builder, build out time, and status she'd become defensive. Why? Because she had made it all up! She finally admitted to me that the "projects" I had signed up for were "cancelled" after months of giving me the run around.
Well, after taking her to small claims court I recovered all of the money I spent on her bogus program. BUT, not before I had to take her to a judgement debtor hearing as she was trying to avoid paying the judgement. She dragged the whole thing out as long as she could get away with it hoping I'd go away. You see, she's been sued so many times she knows the game.
I also learned that there are MANY lawsuits filed against at the Glendale courthouse that one can look up. Many that she has lost. Many of us that have recovered our money.
