American Computer Supplies contacted us asking us to try some of their printer ink for free. If we liked them they asked us to order some from them. Later we got a call thanking us for our order, and telling us that a radio-cassette player would be included. That's when we got suspicious. After receiving the freebies, we received a large box with a radio/cassette player and 19 more ink cartridges, and an invoice for 375.00. That works out to almost 20 dollars a cartridge. We contacted them to ask who had approved this order, and they immediately dropped the price 200 dollars. Since we DID try the samples, and they didn't work for our printer, we didn't accept this rate. Apparently our Acct. Dep't DID pay them 68 dollars (so now I don't know what was ever a free sample) and that payment "released the remainder of our order" (their words). I explained that there was no order ever made. After much arguing and back and forth they were forced to agree to take back the shipment. But we are out the 68 dollars.
