My Husband and I made faithful payments to Chase Manhatten mortgage for 11years. We started getting letters starting inFeb. 2003 to May every month saying we were two months behind. Please pay or foreclosure... I called them, which is a pain in the... They said they didn't know why we were getting these letters. Well they continued month after month I called again, fearing the foreclosure threat. The person I had talked to was no longer there, and they said Pay up! Well I didn't. I had proof of payment except for TWO months my husband had paid with a money order. Please don't pay with money orders, there is'nt proof. We refinanced this May and they kept FOUR thousand dollars. This is stealing! A BIG ripoff. Always get a mortgage in your home town. We did. But 4 grand poorer.
