In early April, I received a call from RTS Advertising that I won a Shopping Spree of a $1000.00 and/or a trip for $1000.00 to anywhere in the world. All I had to do was pay for shipping of $4.95. The fool I was fell for it. They asked for my checking account # to confirm all this (that should of set off a big red flag).
I was charged $139.00 for Fly Free, $39.95 for Dialing USA, and another $89.95 for Dialing USA. Since I was in the hospital I did not know of these charges until I arrived home and went online to balance my check book. I was floored when I seen these charges! I went straight to the bank (Citibank) and told them I never wrote these checks, nor were any online checks authorized by me or anyone else in my home. The bank told me to call these places, which I did. They refused to refund me! Instead they offered me to free airline tickets!
As I told the rep., I do not want these she continued to try and sell stuff to me! I asked to speak to her supervisor and she wanted to know why, I explained to her that I just want my money back. She stated that was not possible and again I asked to speak to her supervisor. She told me that there was nothing her supervisor could do and I would not be refunded!
I then went back to the bank, signed a complaint against the RTS Group and filed a police report of fraud. I now have to wait 7 days for the bank to refund me my money, after they investigate. This company (RTS) is dangerous and fraudulent. Never was I told that I would be charged all these fees, not to mention, why would anyone pay for long distance plan such as this, when most are free now?
