Homecomings Financial
Ripoff, fradulant, deceitful, uncompassionate, uncaring, uncooperative and will try to take your home!

I have been dealing with Homecomings Financial since I was forced to help my mother with problems she was having with her home. Homecomings bought our mortgage from another company and has been doing fradulant things with our mortgage since the first time they purchased the note.

Forced to go into bankruptcy only to have Homecomings take regular monthly payments sent in by us AND APPLY THEM TO CORPORATE ADVANCES AND THEN SEND PAPERWORK TO THE COURT REQUESTING TO GET OUT OF IT BECAUSE WE WERE BEHIND. They have been paying CORPORATE ADVANCES EVERY MONTH SOMETIMES TWICE A MONTH BUT WE STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED AN EXPLANATION OF WHAT THEY ARE FOR.

Homecomings has not been applying payments or they have been using some of the funds to pay what they want and putting the rest into an SUSPENSE ACCOUNT and not applying them to principal or interest and stating that we are behind.

The newest thing that has just been brought to my attention today is above and beyond being in the bankruptcy and paying monthly mortgage payments plus the amount to the trustee each month; I find out that Homecomings has decided to now include an amount each month to go towards our real estate taxes and homeowners insurance. This is something that wasn't included in the original documents signed with the previous mortgage company and was something that Homecomings refused to do when called and asked by us.

All of a sudden in June they decided that they want to include an escrow amount for the taxes and insurance and have NOT SENT US ANY LETTERS STATING THAT THEY ARE DOING SO, NOR DID THEY SEND US ANY LETTERS REQUESTING THAT WE NOW PAY AN ADDITIONAL $410 ALONG WITH OUR MONTHLY PAYMENT OF $718.85.

They have however sent escrow analysis (i don't know what they heck these are i don't work for homecomings) and expect us to understand what they are saying and interpret that we are to pay this additional amount just from reading the analysis.

Prior to the bankruptcy we were told by Homecomings that we were eligible to do a loan modification and we went in and met with someone and she said yes we can do it and put in arrearages on the back of the loan; only to have her call us a day before the scheduled sheriff's sale and say that they couldn't do it because their company had to pay back taxes and we didn't have enough income to be able to afford it. I faxed her additional documentation for income verification to prove that we did ONLY TO HAVE HER SAY THAT IT WASN'T ENOUGH AND THAT THERE WASN'T ANYTHING SHE COULD DO FOR US.

I am under the assumption that this was a tactic used to lead us on and think that we would be okay and they could sneak in under our noses and take our house at the foreclosure. Fooled them because i filed papers for the bankruptcy the day before the sale.

I am now facing a hearing on April 4th where Homecomings is saying we owe them back money of $9,967 and that our payments were supposed to be $1129 instead of $718 and this $1129 was to be paid effective June SO THEY WAIT UNTIL FEB. 2006 TO SAY THAT YOU HAVEN'T BEEN PAYING THE CORRECT AMOUNT AND ARE NOW TRYING TO GET OUT OF THE BANKRUPTCY ORDER.

Homecomings is shady and there should be a class action suit against them from what i can see and what i have experienced they are just trying to get as much money as they can from people and then take their homes after people have lived and slaved in them for years.
