Financial Services Dishonest Hiring Practices Ripoff

I was called one day by a Primerica representative, Ray Kahn (like con, which describes the whole organization), who said that he had heard that I was interested in a job with Citigroup and he told me all the great opportunities I could have by working there. Anyway, I didn't know who had told him I was interested because I certainly never expressed any interest in the company. I thought maybe he got my name and number from the school I attend, George Mason University (which is absolutely false because GMU said they are not affiliated with them at all). So, he asked me to come in for an interview and I said that I had a great job (which I do) working for the government. He said that it would be within my major and a better opportunity for me to come and work with them. So, I said ok, I'll check it out.

I came in for the interview and when he was done telling me all these great things about the company, I said I would have to think about it but that I would fill out the application anyway. Little did I know that there was a fee of $199 that went along with the application. That's when he brought in his Regional Vice President, Brett Matthews who was the most arrogant, narcissistic person I have ever met. He came in and told me all the opportunities I would have. Which sounded good, but then I heard about the fee, and me being a student I am not made of money, so I said again that I would have to think about it. Mr. Matthews proceeded to tell me that if I didn't give them the money and application today during the interview that it would show that I am not a motivated person or a decision maker and that they wouldn't want to work with me. The whole time he was in there, he was putting me down saying that I was obviously not Primerica material because I couldn't give my money away in a split second. Once he realized I was not easily convinced, he stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind him with obvious resentment. What kind of company does that and who wants to work for someone obviously doesn't have the right positive attitude for a working environment? I have a great job working for a lawyer with obvious growth opportunities, WHY WOULD I CHOOSE TO WORK FOR A COMPANY THAT HAS TO CON PEOPLE INTO WORKING FOR THEM? Yes, the opportunities may sound fantastic at the time, but there is motive behind every word they feed you.
