I contacted AIU regarding their degree program and spoke with a counselor on two seperate occassions. The counselors name is Randy Krech. When I spoke with Randy he indicated that the cost of the program would be $14,715 per year and given the number of credits I had, I would only need to attend for one year.
After enrolling I received information that indicated the the total program cost would in fact be $29,430 and the total I was originally given was based on a "academic" year. At no time when I spoke with the counselor did he indicate I would be charged for two academic years.
I immediately dropped the course based on the cost and what I believed to be deceptive recruiting practices. I was charged $2,943 for the one course (which I did not complete) which had to be paid immediately.
