Got a call offering mags for discount prices, offered 10 subscriptions for 10 years, $81/month for 18-24 months depending on plan. They said I would get a $50 gascard and a free hotel stay for trying it, with no charge if I cancelled within 10 days of receipt of info package. "info package" was a list of mags I would never want and a pretty sheet of paper offering gifts - not for trying out the plan, but spending several hundred dollars on magazines! The free trip they offered me said to go to www.ItsYourGetaway.com and enter my coupon code RC9371. So far as I can tell, the website doesnt exist. I also includes a coupon for a gas card and cheap fake gold watches, saying I will get them in 6-8 weeks after sending it in. The small print says "I confirm my magazine order and payment plan as outlined in my confirmation letter.in addistion, I hereby authorize CRC of the central coast to begin my magazine servie and to initiate entries to my account as payment for services rendered." Nowhere on the letter was a number for me to call and cancel the horrible letter, and I had to go thru my bank for the contact information - from the $5 I had paid for the right to be scammed. I would do just about anything to help put sneaky, thieving sons of sh! # like this out of business and in jail where they belong. One other thing, the people I spoke to had unusual accents. They insisted they were in Utah. I never heard anybody in america speak quite like that, except maybe a drunk new yorker trying to sound Texan, perhaps.
