They called me on the phone, telling me that i won a $1,000.00 free shopping on-line coupon. Then they went on to tell me that for a minimum price of $3. I would get some magazines for a week. I was then put onto another person who i thought was getting me yhe info on how to get these mags. Unfortunately he took my cc number and told me about some gifts I was getting free for participating on the phone... Needless to say it was rather quickly that they ran thru the many gifts, magazines and the like. I was also told that I could at any time cancel if i chose to stop the subscription. However, whenni recieved the letter from them, I found that I was being billed for $58.24 per month for the next 16 months. I called to cancel the order and was told that i could not cancel as the order had already been procesed. The lady told me that I wouldn't recieve a magazine until about 6-8 weeks, but i could not cancel it. Customer service after several minutes of haggling, relented and told me that I would only be billed for one month @ $58.24, a price for two magazines for one year. This left an unsettling feeling in my stomach... To know that even before i could see a product i wolud be paying hunderds of dollars i couldn't afford as a student, presently in college...
